Information on the digital accessibility of our website

We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the applicable legal requirements for digital accessibility.

The legal basis for this includes, in particular, the Austrian Federal Disability Equality Act (BGStG) and its implementation in the area of digital accessibility, the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, as well as the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG), which, as of 28 June 2025, sets comprehensive requirements for the accessibility of digital products and services—including websites—and, among other things, requires compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

This website is currently partially compliant with accessibility requirements. Non-accessible content is being identified and remedied step by step.

Some PDF documents provided on the website are currently not accessible.

Older content and documents published before 28 June 2025 are not subject to the obligations of the Accessibility Act and are therefore currently not prepared in an accessible format.

Third-party content embedded on our website is not under our responsibility and has not been checked by us for accessibility.

The assessment of this website’s accessibility was carried out as part of a self-evaluation using WCAG 2.2 and is continuously reviewed and improved.

If you notice any deficiencies in the accessibility of our website, please contact us:

We will edeavour to process your request as quickly as possible and provide you with feedback.

If you do not receive a satisfactory response from the above contact option, you can submit a complaint to the Complaints Office of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency with Limited Liability (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the complaints office contact form.

The complaints are examined by the FFG to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular deficiencies in compliance with accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an organisation attributable to it.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures to remedy the deficiencies in question.
